Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How to stop hair loss?

A: Hair loss often depends on the kind of hair one has, the hair type, length, texture etc. Generally, when the damage is based on the scalp, the problem is mostly internal. It can be the lack of certain essential nutrients from one’s diet. Whereas when hair loss comes in the form of breakage, then the problem is in the hair care.

Hair often becomes dry and loses its elasticity. This leads to frizzy and damaged hair. We recommend that you visit a salon or talk to a hair expert to find the exact cause of your hair loss. All of our hairstylists are passionate about providing great advice and recommending products that suit your hair needs and lifestyle. They might recommend home-care, salon treatment or a combination of both based on your hair needs. For example, the suggestion could include using the right type of shampoo and conditioner according to the hair type, hair spa or other hair treatments to stop the problem of hair loss.

Q. Which is better: Liposoluble wax or Normal wax?

A: This is an age-old debate. Normal wax (also known as sugar or honey wax) gets very hot, is extremely painful (causes redness, itchiness and bumps due to chemicals in the wax), not suitable for sensitive skin, and does not work with high humidity in the air. On the other hand, liposoluble wax (e.g., Rica) is made of resin extracts and vegetable oils making it great for all skin types. It is less painful, less hot to touch in comparison, removes tanning, pre- and post-wax oils which makes waxing easy and non-sticky, and slows down the rate of hair growth. We think it's pretty clear which one is better.

Q. If I have acne on my body, should I avoid waxing?

A: In most cases, you do not need to avoid waxing if you have acne. However, if the severity of the acne is high, we suggest against it. We recommend that you consult a dermatologist to diagnose the cause of body acne before considering waxing or any other skin treatments.

Q. My nails have become dry and weak. How should I deal with this?

A: Often, when we wear nail paint constantly, our nails tend to become weak and dry. Nail paints contain high amounts of alcohol that makes nails dry. This makes the nails weak and might even turn them yellow.

We suggest you give a break to your nails once in a while and let them go bare. Also, use oil or moisturizer on your nails for nourishment. Moisturizing the nails reduces cuticle growth. We recommend getting manicures and pedicures routinely as it cleans out dead skin, promotes blood circulation, reduces muscle tension, helps to de-stress, and makes your hands and feet look younger.

Q. What are the benefits of getting facials?

A: As we grow older, dead skin tends to stay on our body surface for a longer period of time. This can cause dullness, acne, or other outgrowths. Facials primarily help in solving this problem. Facials not only help firm your skin but also make you look and feel younger. Facials reduce tanning, visibly brightens and cleanses the face, and are a quick fix for happy and healthy skin.

Everybody has a different kind of skin. Some people have uneven pigmentation, some have blackheads, some have acne scars. What facials really do is detoxify the skin and bring radiance. Facials help replenish the moisture in the skin and remove the top layer of dead skin cells. Moreover, they increase blood flow to the face, which helps remove toxins and give it a refreshed and even-toned glow.

There are many types of facials that have many different benefits. The most desired benefit is the anti-ageing effect. Facials can help rejuvenate the skin to make it glow, look and feel refreshed. It also helps relieve tension from the facial muscles. A good and proper facial massage helps stimulate the formation of collagen. Collagen provides strength and a strong frame to the facial features. As a person grows older, the production of collagen in their body slows down. This is why the skin starts appearing loose. Facials help in solving all these problems.
